Alternative ideas for tree decorations....You may recall that last Halloween there was a new trend among young people to dress up - not as a witch or a vampire - but as Lady GaGa. Now it seems that this idea has been extended to Christmas as children are designing their own trees with the GaGa theme, including Christmas tree toppers which look like the scantily dressed songstress. This may not be to everyone’s taste, and I’m sure that not many adults would approve of the main tree in the house being decorated in this way, but when it comes to the smaller trees this is a great way to keep the kids occupied. It’s become something of a tradition to have mini Christmas trees around the house, so why not encourage your children to have a go and come up with some ideas for a novel way of decorating the trees? It may be the case that they are happy enough with the classic look for a tree, but if they want to do something a little different there really is no end to the imaginary ways they could do this. Lets get back to the main tree in the house, the one which will form the centrepiece of your festive decorations. Many people are opting for a pre lit Christmas tree these days as this means there is a lot less fuss when you set it up. All you have to do is decorate the branches with baubles and tinsel, and that’s it, job done! |
